DockLift Roster

For dock and lift service companies

Dock installation and removal lists your crews can open on the shore

DockLift Roster is dock installation and removal software for dock and lift service companies that keeps every customer's docks, boat lifts and canopies, this season's in and out lists, and a boat lift maintenance log in one place.

No card needed. Works for ShoreStation, Hewitt, MAX or any mix of docks and lifts.

The dock year

Spring in, fall out, and the repairs in between, month by month

April and May

Spring install

Build the install list from every customer whose plan includes it. Crews work their own list on the phone and check each property off from the dock.

June to August

Repairs and new customers

Log damage, quote it, fix it. A customer who signs up in July lands on the removal list as soon as you add them.

September and October

Fall removal

Build the removal list; marking a job done brings that property's docks and lifts on shore, and the crew notes where each piece is stored.

Winter

Quote and fix

Everything found at removal is waiting on the repair list, with the dock or lift it belongs to, so it gets quoted and fixed before spring.

Lost every winter

What a shop binder forgets between freeze-up and ice-out

Which lift is at the Lindqvist place?
The crew pulls up to a property without knowing how many dock sections, which lift model or which canopy the customer owns, or which shed the parts spent the winter in.
Who's done on Gull Lake?
The in and out list lives on a spreadsheet or a shop whiteboard only the office can see, so the owner spends the afternoon calling crews to ask.
When was that cable replaced?
A frayed lift cable or a bent leg found at removal is forgotten by spring, and nobody can tell the customer when it was last fixed.
The June phone call
A new customer signs up by phone mid-season and never makes it onto the fall removal list.
The crew that didn't come back
Seasonal crews turn over every year, and the access path, the water depth and the quirks of each shoreline leave with them.

One page per lakefront property

What the customer owns, where it spent the winter, and what's been fixed

Every property, every piece
Dock sections, lift brand, model and serial, canopy, swim raft and ramp, each with its layout notes, a photo and where it was stored over winter.
Dock and lift service notes that stay put
Access path, water depth, bottom type and the customer's quirks are on the property, not in the head of last year's crew.
A boat lift maintenance log per lift
Damage found, the quote, the fix, the parts and the cost, logged on the lift or dock it belongs to and kept from year to year.
Import your customer spreadsheet
Paste your customer list from Excel or Google Sheets and export it back, or any season list, as a CSV whenever you like.

Common questions from dock and lift companies

What goes on a boat lift maintenance checklist?

Most dock and lift companies check cables for fraying, pulleys and the winch or motor, bunks and their bolts, legs and pads for bends or settling, and the canopy frame and cover, at install and again at removal. DockLift Roster doesn't force a checklist on you; anything a crew finds gets logged on that lift with a photo, so it's quoted and fixed before it goes back in.

How does the dock installation and removal list get built?

Each property has a service plan: install and removal, install only, removal only, repairs only or inactive. Building the spring list puts every property whose plan includes install on it, on that property's usual crew; the fall list does the same for removal. Customers added later in the season join a list that's already been built automatically.

Can crew leads see every customer?

They can look up any property, its docks and lifts and its repair history, so they can help on another crew's shoreline. On the season list they only see their own crew's jobs, and they can only change repairs they logged.

Does it schedule jobs or send invoices?

No. It's the customer, equipment and season list your crews need on the shore, plus the repair history. Keep using your accounting software for invoices; export any list to CSV when you need it there.

Can we bring in our current customer list?

Yes. Copy it from Excel or Google Sheets with columns like Customer, Lake, Address, Phone and Service, paste it in, and every property is added in one go. Equipment is added per property afterwards.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

You pick a plan on the billing page. If you don't, nothing is deleted: every property, list and repair stays readable and exportable, you just can't add or change records until a plan is active.

Hand each crew lead their list before the first dock goes in

Paste in your customers this afternoon, add the docks and lifts you know about, and build the list. The rest fills in as the crews work.
